BIDISHA BANERJEE has been fascinated with the Ganga ever since she pretended, as
a child, that the Kolkata municipal bathwater was Gangajal. Trained in environmental
science and climate change policy, she has written on these and other topics for
Slate, The Yale Forum on Climate Change & The Media, Triple Canopy, and the Stanford
Journal of Law, Science, and Policy. A former programme director for the Dalai Lama
Fellows and now an ethical leadership coach, she lives with her family in Oakland,
California, the midpoint between her two homes—Kolkata and Kansas. Superhuman
River is her first book.
